Ringen/Rings

Afgelopen week heb ik mijn ringtops eens gefotografeerd. Ik heb de edelstaalringen van Sunset Boulevard en die bevallen mij erg goed, maar als je ze in de kast laat liggen en niet laat zien, is dat wel heel erg zonde! Dus nu maar eens foto’s gemaakt :)
Qua haakwerk heb ik weinig te showen, de granny a day ligt al een weekje stil, omdat ik heel druk bezig ben met kraamcadeautjes voor vriendinnen. Wat ik klaar heb kan ik nog niet laten zien, want ja dan is de verrassing eraf. Sommige dingen zijn ook al ingepakt en niet gefotografeerd, hopelijk komt dat goed als de babies er eenmaal zijn…

Last week I made some photos of my ringtops. I’ve got the steel rings from Sunset Boulevard and I love them, but if you leave them in the cupboard and never show them is quite a shame! So here are some photos :)
I don’t have any crochet work to show, my granny a day is already put aside for a week, because I’m so busy with maternity gifts for my friends. What I’ve already finished, I can’t show yet, since that would ruin the surprise of course. Some things have also been already gift wrapped without taking a photo, so I hope that will be done after the babies are born…

Bead soup blog party 5

Gisteren kreeg ik een berichtje uit Hongarije dat mijn kralen waren aangekomen bij Ági en dat ze enorm in de smaak waren gevallen, wat een opluchting!!! Ze heeft er hele mooie foto’s van gemaakt en op haar blog gezet en ontzettend leuk detail is dus dat ze dol is op Turkse kralen van het boze oog. Ik stuurde haar dus cobaltblauwe kralen met een focal met stippen alsof het ogen waren… Een last minute wijziging, want ik wilde eerst een chakrabal sturen. Duidelijk dat dit toch de betere keuze was en mijn zenuwen nergens voor nodig…

Yesterday I got a message from Hungary that my beads arrived at Ági’s and that she loved them, so I’m so relieved!!! She made some pretty photos of them and put them on her blog. A very nice detail is that she loves Turkish beads with the evil eye. I sent her cobalt blue beads with one focal with dots like eyes… A last minute change, since I wanted to send a chakra ball. Clearly this was the better option and my nervousness was not necessary…

Heerlijke zondag/Lovely Sunday

Gisteren hebben we hier een heerlijke luie zondag gehouden, beiden waren we niet topfit met pijntjes her en der en dus besloten wij dat de zondag heerlijk in huis werd doorgebracht. Het was toch veel te koud buiten… Dus heerlijk op de bank zitten haken, mijn granny a day hexagondeken is inmiddels al ruim een maand groot en nog steeds helemaal bij. Ik maak niet meer elke dag een foto, omdat ik het nog wel eens vergeet en omdat het ‘s avonds dan te donker is, maar gisteren met het mooie zonnetje kon ik er wel even een mooie foto van maken. Dit is de stand van dag 35, het gat heb ik ‘s avonds opgevuld met hexagon nummer 36 :)

Yesterday we spent  a very nice lazy sunday, we both weren’t feeling well with little aches and pains here and there so we decided to stay indoors this sunday. It was also way too cold outside… So I spent the day crocheting on the couch, my granny a day hexagon is meanwhile more than a month and I’m still there doing it every (other) day. I’m not making photos every day, since I tend to forget and because it’s too dark in the evening, but yesterday with the beautiful sun I could make a nice photo. This the result after 35 days, the hole I fixed yesterday evening with hexagon #36 :)

Vanaf de bank kan ik heerlijk genieten van het uitzicht op een bos prachtige tulpen, daar ben ik echt dol op in dit seizoen!

I love to enjoy my view from the couch with these lovely tulips, I really love them in this season!

En als je dan bedenkt dat je zin hebt in koekjes op zo’n heerlijke zondag, dan ga je die toch gewoon bakken?! Zo gezegd zo gedaan, dus deze heerlijk havermoutkoekjes met abrikoos hebben we heerlijk samen opgegeten bij een pot thee (of twee). Het recept komt van mijn favoriete blog: Attic24

Bead soup blog party 4

Ja, afgelopen week was het zover, de postbode bracht mijn pakketje met de kralen uit Hongarije voor de bead soup blog party! Ági heeft echt super haar best gedaan en qua kleuren is het helemaal mijn smaak! De kralen zijn van polymeerklei gemaakt en gecombineerd met prachtige kralen, ik ben er heel erg blij mee. Het schaaltje met de kralen erin staat naast de bank op tafel, zodat ik er steeds naar kan kijken om te bedenken wat ik ermee zal maken…

Yes, last week the mailman brought my package with beads from Hungary for the bead soup blog party! Ági really did a great job, it totally is my kind of colours! The beads are made with polymerclay and combined with beautiful beads. I’m really happy with it. The bowl with the beas is next to my couch on the table, so I can look at it all the time and think what I can make with it…

En ik zit nu echt heel erg in spanning of zij mijn kralen ook wel heeft ontvangen en of ze ze ook mooi zal vinden… Even afwachten nog, want op haar blog heb ik nog niets gelezen…

And now I’m a bit anxious if she already has my beads and if she likes them… I guess I have to wait a little, since I haven’t seen anything on her blog…

Granny a day update

Al een tijdje geen hexagons geshowd, voor Twitter maakte ik wel af en toe een foto met mijn tablet of de telefoon van manlief, maar ja dat is dan zo’n wazige donkere foto die ik niet voor mijn blog kan gebruiken… dus vanmiddag toen de zon scheen even mijn kleedje op de grond gelegd in de woonkamer. Want jaja het is al een heus kleedje :) En er gaat ook nog eens een hele administratie achter schuil, ik mag kleuren maar 1 keer gebruiken per toer en moet elke keer 1 nieuwe kleur toevoegen. Maar nu het einde van de maand nadert, begin ik door mijn kleuren heen te raken… alle kleuren in mijn mandje heb ik nu verwerkt in de spreadsheet en op de 31e heb ik alle kleuren gehad, dus toen begon de uitdaging. Hoe gaat mijn schema verder??? Na wat gepuzzel ben ik eruit, ik begin gewoon weer opnieuw met alle kleuren en heb nu als restrictie dat ik niet exact hetzelfde mag maken als deze maand. Dus nieuwe combinaties, nog steeds door wisselen met 1 nieuwe per hexagon en elke kleur voor maximaal 1 toer. En dan kijken we de komende maanden wel of dat vol te houden is :) Voor iemand met verstand van wiskunde is dit vast uit te rekenen en mooi in een tabel op te schrijven, dus als diegene zich dan even meldt bij mij en het voor mij doet ben ik helemaal blij ;)

It’s been a while since I showed my hexagons, I did make some photos for Twitter with my tablet or with DH’s phone, but those photos are fuzzy and dark, so I can’t use them for my blog… So this afternoon while the sun was shining I put my little blankie on the floor of the livingroom. Because it’s already getting bigger and bigger :) And there’s quite some management behind it, I can only use the colours once per round and I have to add 1 new colour every hexagon. But now the end of the month is approaching I’m running out of colours… all colours I have are in my spreadsheet and on the 31th I’ll have used all the colours, so the real challenge starts there. So how to proceed with the schedule??? After a little puzzling I know what I’ll do, I just start all over again with all colours and I can’t make the same as this month as a restriction. So new combination, still changing with 1 new colour per hexagon and all colours only 1 round. And then we’ll see if I can do the same for the next months :) For someone who knows math it must be easiliy calculated and write a nice table, so if that someone could step forward then I would be really happy ;)
