Regelmatig krijg ik de vraag waarom ik toch die leuke dingetjes in mijn breiwerk heb hangen en wat het zijn?! Het zijn dus steekmarkeerders en ze helpen me met heel veel dingen. Neem bijvoorbeeld dit breiwerk, Trees. Ze heeft wel 3 steekmarkeerders! En soms zitten ze alle 3 ook nog eens bijna op dezelfde steek… beetje overdadig, of toch niet? Frequently I get asked why I have those cute thingies in my knit projects and what they are?! They are stitch markers and help me in many ways. For instances in this project, Trees. She has 3 stitch markers! And sometimes all 3 of them they are in almost the same stitch… a bit much, or not? Niet dus! Want ze dienen allemaal hun eigen doel. De eerste, met de twee ringetjes zit om de rondbreinaald zelf. Deze zorgt ervoor dat ik precies weet wanneer ik een volledig rondje heb gebreid. Bij rondbreien zie je namelijk heel moeilijk wat de eerste steek ik en als die markeerder er niet zou zitten, dan zou ik echt niet weten waar ik zou zijn in mijn breiwerk.
